SAN CRISTOBAL ISLAND

CITY PORT: PUERTO BAQUERIZO MORENO

BAY NAME: BAHIA NAUFRAGIO/WRECK BAY

YEAR 2019 POPULATION: 12.000

MAIN ANCHORAGE

Latitude: 00°53,9′ S Longitude: 89°36.9′ W

NOTE: Under the National Park regulations, any yacht visiting the Galapagos with Permit or AUTOGRAFO, must have clearance and INSPECTION on this island due to the fact that it is the Capital of the Province of Galapagos.

SAN CRISTOBAL AIRPORT

Runway 1.883 M  CODE: SCY                          

Cristobal Airport is about 10 minutes taxi ride to the main Passengers Dock in Town, presently with 2 commercial Airlines serving daily flights, LANTAM, AVIANCA. and and another airline in the near future.

From Cristobal Airport , you can also have inter islands flights, with EMETEBE, small Aircrafts for 10 passengers, to BALTRA, ISABELA or Vice versa,

San Cristóbal visitor sites are close to the Port, to have your own tours, besides renting kayaks, surfing boards, bicycles, sport fishing tours, or just enjoy the nearby crystal-clear water beaches

MAIN ANCHORAGE

Latitude: 00°45′ S Longitude: 90°19′ W anchor site for large yachts and ships.

Because the Town of Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz island, has the biggest inhabitants among the rest of the islands, here you find the Central tourism activity, either to look for local daily tours around the surrounding central islands , or a local daily diving tour, among other activities such as sport fishing, or just going out to any of the local sea food restaurants in Town, to taste a great gourmet daily recipes.

BALTRA ISLAND/AIRPORT is at the Northern side of Santa Cruz, to reach the Airport from Puerto Ayora, takes about an hour, most of the regular tourists use this Airport, same as most of our clients, yacht owners and guests,

AIR FORCE AND NAVY STATION

BAY NAME: AELOLIAN BAY

POPULATION: This is ONLY an Air Force and Navy base, Therefore there is a small number of Air Force and Navy members, plus the Ecuadorean Oil Company employees coming from Santa Cruz, to work at the fuel Station every day, returning at the end of the day, basically the Airport personnel plus the only fuel station in the Galapagos islands.

ANCHORAGE: Latitude: 00°26′ S Longitude: 90°17′ W

BALTRA OR SEYMOUR AIRPORT:

IATA CODE is GPS  RUNWAY LENGTH  2.386

BALTRA AIRPORT was a US base during the World war II, after the war, the Ecuadorean Government continued using the remaining of facilities, today converting into a new ECO FRIENDLY AIRPORT, one of its kind around the world. At the moment this new Airport serves to the majority of tourists that arrives into the islands, from the mainland Ecuador, either Quito or Guayaquil cities, in connection also with the  new reconditioned Airport of CRISTOBAL ISLAND.
