
FOR PRIVATE YACHTS wishing to cruise the Galapagos islands, two basic permits are needed,
AN AUTOGRAFO, or Ecuadorean Government Authorization given by the Ministry of Defense of Ecuador, this permit process is recommended to start arrangements 2 months in advance prior to the vessel arrival in the islands.
A Galapagos Park APPROVED ITINERARY, to visit the Park protected remote visitor sites,
In order to start these permits, you need the following requirements,
Registration Certificate, as a Pleasure yacht,
Passport color copies of all crew and guests that will be on board during the visit.
Black and Grey water systems certifications,
Protection and Indemnity Insurance (P&I)
Proof of a Standard AIS system,
Fumigation certificate from the last port of call and the Hull cleaned from foreign organisms,
SUBJECT TO ARRIVE AND CLEAR IN SAN CRISTOBAL FOR BIOSECURITY YACHT INSPECTION, IMMIGRATION, NAVY CAPTAIN OF THE PORT, GALAPAGOS PARK INSPECTOR,
After the Inspection certificate is granted from the different authorities, then the vessel can move onto the island of Santa Cruz, where we as agents will finalize the cruise Itinerary approval at the Galapagos Park Headquarters in Puerto Ayora-Santa Cruz island, previously making all the Galapagos cruise fee payments,
GALAPAGOS PARK CRUISING FEE, only for yachts wishing to visit the Galapagos National Park and restricted visitor sites, with a specific and approved Park Itinerary, for a maximum of 15 days Itinerary and a mandatory naturalist guide on board,
USD $200.00 PP per day of the length on the approved Itinerary,
A guarantee deposit of the 25% of the total cruising fee amount, reimbursable at the end of the cruise,
One of the requirements for private vessels is also to hire a naturalist guide, who is trained and knowledgeable, their average fees are between USD $300.00 and USD $350.00 daily, for the approved Itinerary, and to guide you through the restricted visitor’s sites

We finally obtain the Park approved Itinerary for the yacht to visit the Galapagos Park protected areas. It is mandatory to have a certified naturalist Park guide on board during the complete Itinerary.
